This was a rainy rainy rainy wedding day! Did it ruin the mood? Absolutely not! Joining Emily in her hotel I captured the final stages of her getting ready process before jumping in the taxi with the bridal party to Old Marylebone Town Hall. Umbrellas at the ready Emily stepped out of the taxi and up the steps with a massive smile on her face. The excitement was clear to see, and Steve’s face as Emily walked down the aisle was so sweet.
His humour during the ceremony made the guests laugh and a reading from Emily’s brother from her grandparents’ book of Shakespeare had the guests dabbing their tears away. A perfect ceremony of laughter and tears. Signing the register to live music by a friend and leaving hand in hand to cheers followed by a rainy confetti line, they were showered in love from start to finish. I am always blown away by the love shown especially when the guests brave the English weather!
After a soggy but fab confetti line everyone herded onto the bus – a perfect mode of transport! I always say it creates such a good flow to the energy of your day when transport between venues includes all the guests, the party can really get started – as it did during this bus ride! Epic sing along tunes were blasted out and no one had a worry in the world.
Arriving at The Kittyhawk the atmosphere was fab, dark and romantic vibes carried the reception drinks over the hour, whilst the guests were drinking and getting merry, we braved the outside again to get some bridal party and couple shots before heading downstairs for the speeches. The favors on the tables were pins in reference to the donation by Emily and Steve to the NHS which Emily is quite rightly super proud to be a part of. Belly laughs ensued with fabulous speeches including a slideshow by the two best men (!) I left them to enjoy the rest of their meal and relax for the rest of the evening. What a day, I absolutely loved being able to capture all the love and all the energy – fabulous!
