The Singer Tavern Wedding • St Mary's Church Angel • London Islington • Marianna and Freddie

As a photographer, every wedding is a unique story waiting to unfold through the lens. Marianna and Freddie's wedding, a magical affair at St. Mary's Church in Angel and The Singer Tavern, was an extraordinary chapter in my photography journey. From rain-soaked beginnings to cozy interiors and lively dances, here's a glimpse through my eyes.

My day began capturing Freddie's getting-ready moments, a task made more interesting by the unexpected downpours. Freddie, undeterred by the rain, turned up drenched. However, the atmosphere was nothing short of welcoming. A towel handed to him, a smile on his face – it set the tone for a day filled with resilience and warmth.

As we traveled to Marianna's morning, the rain became a part of the narrative. At her brother's flat, the rain-kissed windows provided the perfect canvas for capturing the intimate moments of Marianna's preparations. Every detail, from the delicate lace on her dress to the laughter shared with her loved ones, was a treasure to be captured.

St. Mary's Church in Angel stands out in my memory as the best church I have ever shot at. The play of light within the sacred space was simply breathtaking. It provided a perfect backdrop for capturing the ceremony's emotional moments, highlighting the love shared between Marianna and Freddie in a way that words cannot capture.

After the ceremony, we hopped onto a red bus to The Singer Tavern, a move that set the stage for the next chapter of this visual narrative. The rain took a brief hiatus, allowing us to capture Marianna and Freddie's couple photos against the cityscape before it started pouring again.

The interior of The Singer Tavern presented a dark and moody aesthetic, beautifully candlelit and cozy. It became a perfect fit for Marianna and Freddie's unique vibe. Every corner seemed to whisper stories, and my lens soaked in the ambiance, immortalizing the intimacy and love that filled the space.

The cocktail hour downstairs after the speeches added a delightful twist to the celebration. Cocktails flowed, and a surprise quiz infused laughter and camaraderie among the guests. It was a refreshing break before the festivities moved into full swing.

As the night progressed, the dance floor came alive with favorite moves flooding the space. Marianna and Freddie, along with their guests, created a dancefloor tapestry of joy, laughter, and celebration. Each click of the shutter immortalized the rhythm of love that echoed through The Singer Tavern.

Botley Hill Wedding• Botley Hill Wedding Photographer • The Barn at Botley Hill • Surrey Wedding Photographer • Rebecca and Ben

Rebecca and Ben came up against so many obstacles when planning their day, so when it finally came around everyone was over the moon and really ready to celebrate no matter what!

The weather was definitely testing us this day as it was freezing as well as heavy showers on and off throughout the day, but, nothing was going to get the spirits down! Rebecca and Ben were determined to make their day the best day ever, so embraced the cold for their couple photos, hid away in their ceremony room by the fire to grab some more out of the rain and all in all were just fabulous to work with!

The venue of Botley Hill barn is absolutely stunning and definitely has the WOW factor for your guests, the different spaces they have give such variety to the shots and show off the location perfectly, especially the wall to floor windows in the main room.
