Morden Park House Wedding • Micro London Wedding • Stef and Sam

Stef and Sam’s wedding was beautiful. Their attitude to continually changing plans and restrictions was the best, they remained so positive throughout, and knew that no matter what, they would still get married.

They originally planned a wedding in Scotland and then had to bring it down to London, they then planned to get married and then head to a small celebratory meal in Surrey with their families. When this was then cancelled due to restrictions they opted for just the ceremony, but kept smiling all the way!

And, wow, what a day was given to them! One of the nicest days of September with the brightest sunshine, beautiful warmth and the clearest skies. Morden Park House is such a fab venue, I have shot there multiple times now and it really does have so many options. The exterior of the house is beautiful in itself, and the rooms are bright and airy, these guys had their ceremony inside the walled garden which is stunning. Beautiful plants line the walkway towards the pergola, and the containing red brick walls make the ceremony feel intimate and personal.

As a lot of what they had planned had been taken away they still really wanted to do a first look, so we organised beforehand to have the family and Sam waiting around the corner for Stef, and she walked around with her dad on her arm which was a fabulous moment - reminding us all, that no matter the restrictions, it’s still your day and you can still add elements you love to it.

As the family sat down in the garden and Stef and Sam walked down the aisle, the position of the sun was right above us making it super bright but the pergola provided some shade relief for the newlyweds. Their vows had all the feels, and the tears showed this! The registrars there are fab and made sure that there was lots of joy included in the ceremony despite the restrictions. We were lucky enough afterwards to capture a few quick images in the walled garden before heading to the other side of the building. Here we had bundles of fun, we threw confetti, laughed, spun, we even did some running! I love when a couple is so up for just enjoying themselves and having fun. Yes, it’s about your love for each other, but remember that your love for each other involves a hell of a lot of laughter - the two go hand in hand!

Morden Park is perfect for a variety of backdrops, you have the walled garden, the exterior of the house, the beautifully ivy-framed green door and stone steps, as well as the park it backs onto with vast green spaces and trees, perfect for a little walk to get out of view of any lingering guests!

These guys brought me such joy and it really was an honour to capture their day, needless to say I left beaming from ear to ear - such a feel good day, they did it, they got married, and nothing could stop them!
