Lainston House Wedding Photography • Winchester Wedding • Layla and Rob

Winchester is an absolutely stunning city to get married in! I have shot a few times there, and it’s one place that I would definitely say to make sure you have a good amount of time to walk around and get couple photos after your ceremony. These guys brought their guests with them on their walk as they were only allowed a small crowd, and it was such a lovely day! We walked and chatted and laughed, stopping a few times for some shots.

There is the beautiful cobbled square outside the registry office, and the pretty back streets just behind the high street to get away from the crowds. The tree lined avenue towards the cathedral is fab and you can’t not go to the Cathedral itself. It has stunning arches and a really beautiful square to the side of it, along with the old gates of the city. If you wanted to travel a little further then there are some unique ruins a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral too! So you basically get a cityscape, along with a historic backdrop for your images.

These guys were absolutely up for everything too! We danced, ran, jumped and spun! What better way to spend the first hour after you’ve said “I do”!

We jumped in cars and travelled to Lainston House which is stunning! Again, a venue that gives so much. As well as a stunning exterior and beautiful circular drive, it also boasts rolling lawns at the back alongside church ruins that you can explore. The interior allowed for Sopranos style group shots and the beautiful window light was a dream to work with. Again, these two were absolute stars and just had fun!

It proves how much you can do even with a small group of guests, as long as you choose your venues wisely you can get such an amazing variety of shots in not too much time at all.

Royal Holloway Wedding • Burnham Beeches Hotel • Documentary Wedding Photography • Toyah and Szymon

Szymon and Toyah are Christmas lovers! They love everything about the season and emphasised that they wanted their images to feel and look very Christmassy, hence getting married a few days before the 25th!

They met at Royal Holloway university and so thought getting hitched there would be the perfect idea. It is such a stunning location, and the chapel is breath taking! After the ceremony we walked around the grounds to get some family pictures and couple shots. They wanted to head to the library where they spent many a day and grab some pictures there. I love when the location means something to the couple. It means that the images are always going to be more sentimental and will be treasured for many different reasons.

These guys braved the cold December air and were real troopers, it was crisp and dry just very cold, I always say, if you can brave it for a few minutes you won’t regret it. You’ll never look back at your photos and regret being cold, you’re more likely to regret not heading outside if you could of!

Heading back to Burnham Beeches hotel where Toyah got ready, the set up was Christmas head to toe. The great thing about embracing this time of year is that you get tons of free decorations because they are all up in the venue already!

The speeches, photo booth and conga line were amongst some of the highlights for the evening. All in al, a fabulous celebration, and one to really get everyone into the festive spirit!
