West Lodge Park Wedding • Greek Wedding Photography • The Old Manor • Kate and Marios

Having know Kate and Marios beforehand, it was such a lovely feeling when they asked me to capture their day. It was different from my usual weddings as it was largely Greek! I loved capturing the preparations and details and was so excited to get to the church and witness all of the Greek traditions. Unlike other Churches, this was really relaxed in terms of where I could stand and take photos from. I was basically given free rein which is amazing, especially in a church! So I could be right up close to the action and get all the little elements as well as the big ones. The ceremony was performed in Greek and in English and ended with a fantastic colourful confetti line to kick off the celebrations!

For the couple photos we ended up going back to the getting ready hotel and using their grounds which are beautiful, Kate and Marios were fantastic and were up for everything! It was so lovely spending this time with them away from the guests, it makes it a separate moment of the day, and doesn’t take away too much mingling time as everyone was making their way to the reception venue at the same time.

The celebratory vibe was amplified by their relaxed venue of the Old Manor Pub, their guests were loving life as the drinks flowed and the speeches began. There was free flow between inside and outside and everyone was just having so much fun! It helped that England were scoring like wild fire during their reception, so the good vibes were everywhere! Ending with shots I left them to continue drinking and enjoying the rest of their night - what a day!
