An Albino Peacock and love across the seas • Northbrook Park Wedding • Documentary Wedding Photographer • Farnham Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful frosty morning at Northbrook Park, there was not a cloud in the sky, and it stayed like that the whole day. Having shot their engagement photos and knowing Katie and her sister already I was so excited for today! It was a real friend event, as my friend Sophie was doing hair, and another friend Sarah made the cake!

Getting ready was lots of fun, with Katie and Chris in next door apartments, any running in and out of the venue by Chris had to be done under cover of the best mans jacket as they ran past Katie’s window! It was great for me, as it took all of 5 seconds to go between bride and groom to get their getting ready shots!

The mornings always start off with loads of time to spare, very chilled and relaxed, and then suddenly, you’ve only got 45 minutes left until you need to be out! There was a sudden rush of activity and everyone sprung into action! It all worked beautifully though as we all took our places for the beginning of the ceremony. Katie looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle through their closest family and friends, holding onto her handsome father who was dressed in uniform. The tears couldn’t be held back as Chris and Katie locked eyes. The sunshine beamed through the beautiful conservatory at Northbrook Park as they exchanged their vows and many tissues were passed around the intimate family gathering.

Tears were followed by cheers with the awesome confetti line, and after dusting each other off, we headed for a walk around the grounds for their couple shots. I loved this venue and the weather was to die for, it was cold but the sun kept the chill off, and also made for some beautiful shadows and contrasts in the light.  We were even joined by an albino Peacock! Now who can say that about their wedding!

The speeches were extremely heartfelt and personal giving the evening a warm fuzzy feeling, which continued long into the night with hilarious dance offs between family members and friends.

I truly loved capturing Katie and Chris’s wedding - it was so special to work alongside friends - it was a perfect day, and I know that they will be extremely happy together.
