Fairytales do come true • Hampton Court Golf Club • Documentary Wedding Photography • Natural Photography

With this Disney themed wedding joining two theatrical families, I knew that this would be a fun day! After being with the bride all morning I headed to Hampton Court Palace Golf Club to get some shots of the Groom before the ceremony. Walking in I saw Disney everywhere! Mickey and Minnie mouse headbands for the guests to wear, hearts, Disney palaces, and a light up wedding cake! Definitely something you don’t see everyday!

The ceremony was fab, with readings from family, including a dinosaur love story. Harriet and Philip were cheered as they walked back down the aisle of Mickey/Minnie hats, and we went straight out and hopped on a golf cart to get our couple shots before the light went. Even though it was a freezing 28th day of December the weather couldn’t have been any better, with a glorious low sun in the clear blue skies, this golden hour was thoroughly taken advantage of!

As we had visited the venue together beforehand, we knew the exact spot to go for all the photos, there was a fabulous square for photo opportunities: tree lined driveways, a lake leading to Hampton Court Palace, a weeping willow and of course the surrounding golf course - which as enthusiastic golfers, we also got some great fun shots of the newlyweds on the driving range!

We managed to get these shots lovely and quickly so that we could head back into the warm and start the wedding breakfast, and well, what a meal it was! No-one expected the best man to turn up in an Olaf costume for his speech, or the singing waiters to get everyone up on their feet and dancing! When surrounded by musical theatre lovers I always have to be on my toes to capture all the surprises – it’s great fun!

They all danced the night away, along with some karaoke of course! It was a fabulous day full of laughter, I wish them all the best for their future together and hope their happily ever after’s all come true!
