It was an absolutely stunning summers day for Ceri and Mike’s wedding, getting married on the same day as Prince Harry and Megan they had the fabulous idea to have their ceremony at 3pm so everyone could watch the Royal Wedding first! Two weddings in a day – fabulous!
The guests arrived into the beautiful walled garden in Painshill Park, an absolutely stunning venue, very private and well kept, perfect for their day. Ceri told me before their wedding that their guests were all really old friends and extremely close family, lots of mixes of groups, from old work colleagues, university friends, neighbours, far flung relatives and new friends – the emphasise was on capturing natural moments from all of her guests, mingling and having fun together. The venue really allowed for this, and the weather and free bar really got everyone in a fantastic mood!
Heading just outside the walled garden we captured a few couple shots with the newlyweds, Ceri and Mike had told me that they really didn’t want to go far away from their guests during their couple photos, which is quite easily done at Painshill with their gorgeous lake and gothic temple, but everywhere is beautiful there, so staying close was no issue at all. We also were so fortunate with the weather that the golden hour was lovely and long and drawn out, giving them a gorgeous back light to their photos. We could also jump in a friends split front VW camper van which added a real flare to their images.
The casual, fun feel continued into the speeches, done before heading inside to the gorgeous buffet. There was one further speech from Ceri’s father right before the first dance which had everyone in stitches! Dancing continued straight away, everyone was in the party spirit - it was fabulous to capture.
Royal wedding eat your heart out!
