A Pink Dress, a Park and a Pub • Documentary Wedding Photography • Female Wedding Photographer • Relaxed • Candid • Basingstoke Wedding Photographer

It was the most glorious day as I arrived to find Martin and Lina’s guests all ready outside Basingstoke registry office. All on time and prepped we captured a few group photos before heading inside to wait for the soon to be newlyweds to walk down the aisle.

The room was lovely and bright, and fit the 15 guests in beautifully. The sun shone in to the pale pink room, and enhanced the pink dress Lina had on as she walked in. You could see the nerves were heightened as the personalised vows were spoken, such a beautiful touch, the nerves were soon broken by giggles and smiles all around. After all the official duties, the new Husband and Wife stepped outside into their confetti line. After taking a few more formal shots we were lucky enough to be located right beside a beautiful park, so we headed off into the greenery to capture some couple shots.

I loved this moment in the day, it was so lovely to spend quality time with Martin and Lina, we were in no rush to get to the reception venue either so there was no time pressure, which usually there is. This meant we had time to stroll around the park finding different nooks and oddities to create contrasting and interesting photos. These two were fabulous and up for anything, even when I got down into the flowers on all fours, they took it in their stride!

We headed onto their reception venue, which was a gorgeous old pub with a beautiful private rear garden saved especially for these two and their guests. Having only their nearest and dearest attend meant I really could capture everyone that was there. We laughed and joked together, I even managed to get persuaded into a guests picture with the bride and groom – so apologises for my sun burnt face whenever you take a look at those ones! It was a fabulously relaxed day - I definitely went home smiling!
